Where the darkness and cold of a hopeless and desperate world meets an invincible will to conquer and prosper: that has always been the unique place of any and every song the infamous hip hop band $uicideboy$ has to offer. The New Orleans crew comprised of the two cousins $crim and Ruby Da Cherry, known for songs such as “Antarctica” or “Kill Yourself”, has been opening up about drug abuse, depression and suicide for years and has the masses rooting for them since day one. With their apocalyptic hip hop sound laced with punk and Southern influences, the band has amassed billions of streams and several platinum certifications.
While fans are waiting for the upcoming performance at Rolling Loud in Los Angeles and the band´s “Grey Day Tour” in Australia and New Zealand to kick off in March, $crim has announced another occasion for anticipation: he is about to release a solo EP via $uicideboy$´ own label G59 Record$. As $crim´s publicist team has revealed, the self-produced track offers listeners an “intimate glimpse into the multifaceted producer and artist’s musical journey, delving into themes of escape, personal challenges, and a profound yearning for familial connection and peace“.
Meanwhile, $crim has already released the lead single off the new EP, called “paradise“. And one thing is already clear: if the EP keeps what the single promises, the EP release day is about to be a happy day for all fans of $crim and the $uicideboy$.
